Student life and formation

College

The college offers an open fellowship that serves the personal, spiritual, and intellectual development of the college student in the community. Student meetings take place every Tuesday during the semester in the KTK/ZEC library.

Every first Tuesday, informal student meetings take place with a moment to reflect on the biblical text, sharing, games and dinner together. Every other Tuesday there are discussions on various topics with interesting guests or our teachers.

The College is open to all UMB students who are Christians or seekers and desire a formative community.

In addition, we offer students several specific opportunities for fellowship, service, and spiritual growth:

Open Relationships with Local Church Congregations

Each of the students of the department is welcome to become part of the family of one of the local church congregations that together stand behind the Department of Theology and Catechetics. Among several we name those that are part of the founding churches of the department: the Apostolic Church, the Church of the Brethren, the Fraternal Union of Baptists. All students are welcome at these youth gatherings, groups and services.

Internship and mentoring opportunities in the Hope for Children community center

Jolka and Štefan Náther have earned an excellent reputation in the field of social work with their many years of proven work with results, constantly growing expertise and fascinating personal story. Combined with their personal beliefs, they are ideal mentors for students to help them grow professionally, but also deal with personal issues.
