Bachelor’s study programme

Bachelor’s study programme

Graduates of the bachelor’s degree program in Evangelical Theology and Mission will find employment in the ministry of primarily evangelical church congregations, in organizations that focus on education, charitable and missionary work, as well as in the ministries of churches and non-governmental organizations where a bachelor’s degree is required, e.g. Missionary workplaces of churches, foreign missions, Christian children’s clubs, facilities for providing the necessary conditions for meeting the basic needs of life (dormitories, shelters, halfway houses, low-threshold day centres for children and families, emergency housing facilities, supported housing facilities and social service facilities), categorical pastoral care in prisons, police, army and hospitals, youth work, day centres for the elderly, Roma mission, ecumenical activities, Christian publishing houses and Bible societies, Christian diaconal and charitable institutions, evangelization centres, Christian radio and television broadcasting, Christian media activities.

The study programme is oriented towards evangelical theology, the Protestant Reformation tradition, and its strength is its ecumenical character. It prepares students for church practice in evangelical ecclesial and parachurch contexts.

The programme is unique in the V4 area in that it is the only one to provide three levels of academic theological education in the evangelical tradition for a long time. The international dimension of the programme is due both to the composition of the academic staff and the consistently long-term participation of international students, as well as the placement of graduates abroad. The scientific and teaching staff regularly participate in cooperation with foreign institutions, publish in foreign indexed journals and regularly participate in foreign scientific conferences.
